People are also divided into some categories like, region base (North Indian-South India), religion base (Hindu-Muslim), cast base (Sadhu-Brahmin). Every ethnic community has its own code of conduct. But due to same origin of all communities at the end of day everyone have same social code of conducts.

As a tourist you come across many strangers of different groups and different lingual. There are many things which one should keep in mind when visit India like-
Language-It’s very difficult to say how many languages are speaks in India. After every ten miles local dialect is changed and after hundred miles language. Even Local Indians are not able to converse with one language. So that’s why till now India doesn’t register any National Language. But if you know little bit of English means you permitted to travel whole India. Almost every person understands basic words of English likeTake, Hello, ye, no, come, money, Transpotation etc.
Gesture/Postures-If anybody comes to you with joining both palms, it doesn’t mean he/she going to hurt you .but this mean he/she want to say you Hello which is called Namaste in Hindi. Muslim say hello with swaying hand in front of forehead. Use your right hand for giving, taking, eating or shaking hands as the left is considered as unclean and bad. Always Say thank you with smile.

Religious places-Locals are too much enthusiast about their religious shrines, moreover don’t like the presence of foreign body .If somehow they allow then one suppose to do everything according to their norms like In Gurudwara you need to cover your Head, In temple you don’t allow with shoes and leather made material and in Dargah you need to wear Muslims traditional dresses.

Social ethics- Indian has their own social ethics, let us introduced you with some social norms which always be helpful to you on India Tour. Let’s start with women’s-Hand shaking; kissing openly and photography are restricted. In homes- shoes, wine and Gambling moreover restricted. Indian doesn’t feel comfortable with forks and spoons they eat with hands and they pleasure to see if foreign bodies do same.

But let me clear one thing frankly these all laws and ethics are applicable only for middle class if you belonging to creamy layer then you are free to do anything, anywhere like other countries.
